ShowerRush app was featured at Benedictine University’s URSA event, showcasing my ability to design intuitive digital experiences backed by thoughtful research and user testing.
Water is one of Earth's most precious resources, yet inefficient usage wastes millions of gallons daily. The average shower lasts 8-10 minutes, but many people shower longer, often unconsciously. We might enjoy a long shower after a tiring day, or get distracted, leaving the water running while scrubbing or waiting for it to warm up. A typical 10-minute shower uses about 25 gallons of water. Imagine the waste with even longer showers! By reducing shower time, individuals can significantly decrease their water footprint, reduce the energy needed for heating water, and ease the strain on local water supplies. ShoweRush helps users develop better water-saving habits and promotes long-term awareness and responsibility for sustainable living.
ShoweRush is a fun, interactive mobile app designed to help users become more mindful of their water consumption, especially in the shower. Through game-like features such as rewards, unlockable levels, challenges, and social sharing, ShoweRush creates a friendly competitive environment. The app aims to make reducing water usage engaging, motivating users to shorten their showers, compete with friends, and contribute to global water conservation through donations and advocacy. ShoweRush is designed for anyone who wants to use water more efficiently and consciously, whether it's by developing shorter shower habits or educating others about saving water.
